Sumpter Neighborhood Watch Program Organizational Meeting

Wednesday ~ June 12th     6 PM

Sumpter Community Schoolhouse ~ 475 N. Mill St.

(just north of the Stage Stop Gas Station)

Sandy Woods – one of original members of the highly successful Haines Neighborhood Watch Program and Baker County Sheriff Mitch Southwick will be present to answer questions.

This organizational meeting is being held for the purpose of setting up neighborhood patrols within Sumpter and surrounding areas.

Residents of Sumpter who wish to participate in this program should attend this very important meeting!

The sole purpose of a Neighborhood Watch Program is to watch over your neighbor’s property as you watch over your own.

Logs will be kept of any suspicious activity and turned over to the Baker County Sheriff’s office on a regular basis.

In addition to Sumpter, we hope to have participants from Hudspeth Lane, McEwen, Huckleberry Loop...as well as outlaying areas.

Snowmobile Club Season Ends

SVBMSC - April 13th, 2013

SVBMSC – April 13th, 2013

The winter is over, (just don’t let those occasional spring snow showers fool you.)

Hamburgers were on the grill dispite the cold weather at the Sumpter Community Schoolhouse recently as the The Sumpter Valley Blue Mountain Snowmobile Club held it’s last meeting of the 2012/2013 season.

Club members elected officers for the 2013/2014 season. There wasn’t a lot of time spent on elections however, because current officers were nominated and accepted.

(someone should tell Wes what happens when you don’t attend a  meeting…..)

Thanks to everyone who worked hard to make it another successful season.

Just because the slippery white stuff has disappeared, doesn’t mean the SVBMSC stops working….

There will be updates sent to members throughout the summer and the grooming crew will be busy working on cleaning trails. If you would like to join volunteers cleaning trails this summer,  send an email to the grooming chairman: groomer@sumpter.org
