The SVFD now has a new (new to us) Ambulance. We would like to thank the SVFD Auxiliary for raising money that paid for the ambulance. Visit the SVFD Auxiliary here. We would also like to thank the Newberg Fire Department for selling it to us!
We would also like to thank the Nehalem Fire and Resue for donating their surplus equipment to the SVFD!

Baker Count Emergency Management presented a class on
Incident Scene Size Up / First In Report/ Command Considerations
The class was conducted by Gary Timm, Deputy Director of Baker County Emergency Management, Joe Hessel, Unit Forester of Oregon Dept. of Forestry, and Willy Crippen of Wallowa-Whitman District Fire Management.
The SVFD has also taken a class on radio communications presented by Chris Galiszewski of Baker County Search and Rescue
